hissing and shouting, whetting their varnished claws

Two women fighting, abusive and loud
as the train is speeding on.
I put my headphones back on
this scene has worn me down.
The vulgar remarks,
the cheapness, the sadness,
the drama over the top.
This is much worse than reality shows
I ain’t watching this no more.
